Résumé
ScanVec, located in Israel, is a leading provider of software products to the computer-assisted sign-making industry. It develops an open-architecture, integrated software system to computerize the graphic design and production of vinyl signs. To broaden its customer base worldwide, ScanVec makes its software available in eight languages. ScanVec's owners also begin to look for new international market opportunities in other industries. They develop new software products for the metalworking, woodworking, large-format printing, and garment industries. They must manage their relationships with their current distributors to avoid confusing them with products in different distribution channels that they are not equipped to sell. ScanVec's challenge is to develop new marketing strategies and set up new OEM distribution channels. They must also decide which markets they want to pursue.
