Xbox has demonstrated remarkable adaptability, evolving from its first console launch to become a leader in the gaming ecosystem, as evidenced by products such as the Xbox 360 and Xbox Kinect. While each of these innovations has played a crucial role in shaping the gaming landscape, sustaining success requires ongoing strategic evolution. This case study examines the successes and failures of Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Kinect products. Various internal and external factors influencing their market performance are analysed using frameworks such as VRIO, PESTLE and SWOT. Key themes include innovation, market competition, user experience and the implications of technological advancements in gaming.
