'Can the native culture have an impact on trade ? '
From a situation in a Japanese socio-cultural context, this small case-exercise covers the above question through a series of pedagogical activites, including a brainstorming session, in order to help students identify cultural factors inherent to economic contexts.
This case is inspired by the works of Michael Porter on competitive advantage.
Objectifs pédagogiques
- Show the importance of the cultural dimension inherent to economic situations.
- Carry out a creative activity in a multi-cultural team.
- Make students aware of a Japanese socio-cultural specificity which has important economic consequences.
