The RENAULT-NISSAN Alliance : from 1999... to 2006

G1438(GB)
Résumé
On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the Alliance, in March 2004, Renault and Nissan stated its ambitions and reaffirmed the shared principles and values that guide it in a document entitled 'Strategic Vision of the Alliance'. The reaffirmed principles are in essence those of the Alliance Charter written in 1999. There are three ambitions of the Alliance :
1 - To be recognised by the clients as one of the three best global automotive groups for quality and attractiveness of products and services in each region of the world and in each segment range.
2 - To be placed among the three best global automotive groups in key technologies, each partner being the leader in the specific area of excellence.
3 - To constantly achieve an operational result that ranks the Alliance among the first three global automotive groups, due to a high operating margin and sustained growth.
For the students, the aim of this case discussion is to analyse the Alliance on a long period and formulate for the future recommendations to the Global Renault-Nissan Alliance committee...
