R0013(GB)
Résumé
*Finalist of the RIODD-CCMP 2020 prize for the best case study in Sustainable Development or Corporate Social Responsibility

Issues of social responsibility are at the heart of many companies' reflections, ethics being an integral part of these issues. Several questions are worth further discussions: How to analyze and respond to a tendentious situation in the business world? What are the stakeholders that may be affected? How to create and develop an ethical climate that guides the frontline employees' behaviors? What is the purpose of a general code of ethics?
The potential solutions and answers (short or/and long terms) will emerge through this case study. Multifaceted notions and topics can be addressed. The case presents an unethical situation with a focus on "sales area" Students/participants must analyze and discuss the situation before proposing the actions to prevent the problematic situation by creating a general code of ethical principles.
Particularly, for the pedagogical interest, this case study is designed with an option of using peer review evaluation that can be programmed on the online education platform for different learning methods (face-to-face/in person, hybrid or online). The grading guide and rubrics are provided in the pedagogical notes.
This case can be used for any courses, certifications and programs with a "business ethics" and "CSR" dimension. The courses can be related to CSR, organization and management and sales topics such as CSR-focus course, HRM or organizational behavior course, sales force management and professional selling courses or marketing (chapter business ethics) course.
Moreover, there is a growing attention for the CSR topics and the peer-review approach in both professional and academic words. Integrating such type of case study is encouraged or to some extent, essential in the international accreditation systems (EPAS, PRME, etc.).
