"Conscious cooling" - this is the slogan of the start-up CAELI Energie who designs and manufactures responsible air conditioning systems. This deeptech needs to combine the challenges of the ecological transition and the introduction of disruptive innovation in the face of a market dominated by multinational enterprises. The start-up adopts an ecosystem approach to successfully launch their products in Europe.
Prepared in close collaboration with the company, this case study provides detailed information about the creation of CAELI Energie, their ecosystem and the air conditioning market. Students are asked to analyze the development of the start-up and to formulate recommendations for the implementation of an ecosystem strategy and an internationalization strategy.

Objectifs pédagogiques

The case study focuses on the development of the start-up CAELI Energie:
- Know how to combine the challenges of ecological transition and technological innovation in the development of a market
- Conduct a strategic diagnosis of the start-up (strengths/weaknesses, opportunities/threats)
- Identify the actors in the ecosystem and assess the ecosystem risks of the start-up
- Develop an ecosystem strategy to help the start-up access the BtoB and BtoC markets
- Propose an internationalization strategy (selection of countries and choice of entry modes) for the start-up
